Newton le Willows Amateur Radio Club (MX0NRC / M7DX)

Books

Training

Newton-le Willows Amateur Radio Club does not run traditional courses for any class of licence, however we do encourage all prospective radio amateurs to read the books available from the RSGB Foundation, Intermediate, and Full. We also recommend the Exam Secrets book.

Once you have read through the book a few times, you will have many questions about Amateur Radio. It is at this point we suggest you make a note of any questions you have, and put them to the club during one of the club nights (or during a club net if you are already licenced).

NLWARC endorses Castle Electronics

After using a number of local and not so local Amateur Radio Repair Shops over the years, and having to get radio's re-repaired time and time again after shops have failed to set radio's up properly or have not explained what caused the fault allowing you to 'change your habits' NLWARC have been impressed with the technical knowledge and customer service provided by Geoff at Castle Electronics.

As a bonus Geoff has agreed to provide a 5% discount for all members of NLWARC.
